"Positive learning can only take place in a positive culture" Anon
Our students range from tiny preschoolers to the retired, from the earliest of beginners to advanced players and those returning after many years. Here they share their stories of how they have been supported by our unique community at Keys.
Age 7, 2nd year of Foundation
"Hi, I'm Sienna and I'm in Foundation. What I like about Keys Piano School is that everyone is kind and whilst we are learning how to play the piano we are still having fun! Keys Piano School is special because they teach in a unique way. For example, for quavers we say 'Panda, panda'!"
Adult beginner in paired lesson
"I really enjoy learning the piano as an adult. It's a new skill, I find it satisfying when I have learnt to play a new piece, and I can follow my daughter's pieces too. Keys has a very modern approach to teaching the piano. It is not learning from a textbook but we are able to grasp the concepts and information seems to be absorbed a lot faster!"
Age 5, FunKeys then Foundation
"Keys is so much more than a piano school. It is a place where children and adults can develop a life long love of music. The teaching and support is fun, innovative, unique, full of imagination and unbelievably inspiring. My daughter absolutely loves her group lessons and thanks to the incredibly talented teachers at Keys, has really developed both musically and in confidence over the last year. We cannot thank Keys enough for the wonderful way in which they have helped bring the joy of music into her life."
Keys Foundation, then Academy
Keys brings such a refreshing approach to learning to play the piano. The environment at Keys is welcoming, the teachers are friendly, relaxed and incredibly patient with the pupils! There are numerous activities for pupils to get involved in beyond their lessons, and opportunities for parents to experience their child's progress. If you are looking for a forward-thinking, fresh approach to piano lessons, I cannot recommend Keys Piano School highly enough!
